Freestyle Drill


Try this one next time you are swimming. Swim Freestyle with your head out of the water like the water polo style. This lets you see the positioning of your hands when you enter

   the water to see if you are stroking correctly. You must use a continuous kick (6 Beat kick) while doing this drill. This drill will help you in correcting your stroke as well as improving your kick. It is a difficult drill but try only doing 25 metres at first and then build it up to 50m at a time.

Drink plenty of fluids
When swimming for a long period of time remember to always drink a good amount of fluids. It is important to drink while swimming so that you don't dehydrate. During training I drink 2-3 litres of water.
